New River Gorge CrossFit is excited to open the doors to all challengers willing to tackle the "Murph" workout. Please join us for an exciting, fun, and rewarding experience as we pay tribute to an American hero. Ticket includes participation in the workout, bbq lunch, and an event t-shirt (tanks for women). T-shirts/tanks will be available on the day of event for athletes that register by May 7. Registrations received after May 7 will still receive a t-shirt but it may not be available until after the event. Athletes must bring their own beverage of choice. All profit will go to the Michael P. Murphy Scholarship Foundation.
Murph is more than just a one hour workout, it's a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor a man who gave everything he had. Are you up for the challenge? The Murph Workout: 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and 1 mile run with a 20lb weighted vest. Workout can be modified to fit any ability and can be done in teams.
NRG CrossFit is located in the same building as Kool Beanz and is situated directly beside of Pies and Pints restaurant in Fayetteville, WV. Free parking is available behind the building. Workout heats will begin at 9am and run every 1:15 minutes. No supervised childcare will be provided however we will offer a couple of child friendly activities such as face painting and a coloring station.
